Awesome
Like Douglas before me, I had a glitch where the screen went to the background color with the cahracters on it, but once I left the map it fixed itself. I also had a few glitches, but they all fixed themselves. It's actually amazing that there are so few glitches in such a large game that you made yourself.
I miss old style RPGs, and this one was quite a treat. Bonuses are always lots of fun. I have never played Final Fantasy (always been a dragon warrior fan,) but the equipment skill system seems pretty unique to me. I like your little commentaries and jokes about RPGs and other things do, those crack me up. I also love how many small little details there are, like the grass tiles changing when you walk on them, and the encyclopedia...wow, you must have put a lot of time into that.
Now I'm just going to be picky =P I would've liked a little more detail in a few areas though, like Mardek's mom saying something different after you saved her from zombies, and people in general changing what they say. Also, by the end regular physical attacks became incredibly weak... Mardek with the mace was doing 30 against zombies whereas Emela was doing 150+ against them. I understand that there should be some difference because she is using mp, but at this rate Mardek will become useless. But then, I guess I'm also just not used to the main character being a support character...
Also, another personal preference... I don't really like the whole switching out characters thing (I myself only have four but I can see that there will be more, plus I heard that the mercenary could join the party.) I would just as soon stick with three or four characters that were a little more versatile, or else basically choose four characters early on and stick with them.
Anyways, I haven't quite finished it (though I'm on the ship) but I look forward to the next one. In fact, I'm almost worried that it won't be quite as good. A lot of things that were included in this one were from the last one, but eventually the file size will be too big to include it all. Anyways, loved it, and honestly if you put together a full size rpg, I'd think about buying it =)
